DEFINITION

What is Efficienism?

Backstory

Efficienism was born out of my own personal need to be more efficient. I needed a concrete framework to help me optimize my life and focus on things that matter to me.

I'm a person who easily gets distracted with everyday things, this prevents me from focusing on long term goals like staying healthy or planning the trip I always wanted to do.

Over the years, I have gathered numerous tricks and hacks, so much that I forgot most of them. So the reason I created Efficienism is to document all the things I learned and share that with you.

Philosophy

Efficienism gives you room to achieve what you truly want in life by reducing or fully eliminating the things that drag you down.

In other words, Efficienism means you doing more of what you love and less of what you don't love.

This is different from being productive, because the goal isn't to get a lot done. The goal is for you to do what you love and enjoy in life.

Areas

I have split Efficienism into 4 areas of focus. Each area has its own set of articles and tips & tricks (called nuggets).

Longevity

In this area, we focus on topics that help you live not only longer but also better. The purpose is not to live forever but to feel good in your body and mind as long as possible.

I cover topics such as exercise, diet, sleep, stress management and how to stay healthy in general.

why: getting a terminal illness or metabolic disease because you made wrong choices and didn't know any better is a shame. If it's preventable, why not.

Efficienism is a framework. It focuses on saving unrecoverable recourses when doing things. Example resources are time and health. Efficienism comes with new terminology to help describe how to do things efficiently, with the purpose giving you more quality time to to do what you love.
