Omega-3 fatty acids are a type of polyunsaturated fatty acid. They are essential for the body to function properly. Omega-3 fatty acids are found in foods such as fish, flaxseed, and walnuts. The body cannot make omega-3 fatty acids, so they must be obtained externally.

Dosage

The recommended daily intake of omega-3 fatty acids is 250 to 500 milligrams per day for adults. This is equivalent to about 2 to 4 servings of fish per week.

alternatively, you can take on a daily basis fish oil supplement or vegan omega-3 supplement from algae (this is what I personally do).
